These include health history, prenatal and birth history, child development (including learning, behaviour and sleep), dietary history and family history. A ‘Food Diary’ analysis is also done. In addition, Dr Patel may suggest that it could be useful to arrange further blood testing or nutritional status (Functional Medicine) tests as part of this assessment.

With all the information, a bespoke ‘Health Plan’ is created for the child, which features the following:
• Dietary/Nutrition advice
• Nutritional supplement recommendations
• Lifestyle advice (e.g around sleep and behaviour)
• Optional suggestions of other Therapies

Dr Patel additionally provides weaning and feeding advice consultations for babies up to the age of 18 months. If you are looking for general advice on how to wean or feed your baby, Venita provides one-off 30-minute consultations.

For babies with specific health conditions, digestive issues, or allergies, it would be advisable to book a private one-hour consultation, so Dr Patel can make a fuller assessment of your child’s needs.
