Child health consultations

Depending on the nature of your referral, we provide tailored interventions for families who may have specific concerns about their child’s health and development.

OPTION 1: Initial consultation (50 minutes) £80
This is our base level consultation which will focus on your health goal for your child and how we can achieve that together. For younger children, this session may be just with the parents present (although of course babies and toddler are more than welcome to attend!) For older children and adolescents, it may be helpful if they are involved in the consultation.

This first meeting will review your child’s current state of health, which may include areas such as: digestive health (food allergies or intolerances, colics, reflux, constipation or diarrhoea), weight management, energy level concerns (fatigue and low energy levels), mental health (irritability, anxiety, disruptive behaviour, lack of concentration), sleep patterns (insomnia, trouble staying awake during the day, trouble falling asleep), toxic exposure (ingestion of environmental toxins, air pollution|), eating habits (fussy eating, decreased appetite, general eating behaviours) and lifestyle (potential environmental stressors).

We will then provide you with a condensed summary of the consultation findings and a suggested pathway to achieve your child’s health goal.

OPTION 2: Comprehensive consultation (including detailed personalised plan and pre-consultation analysis) (70 minutes) £150
This is our most in-depth consultation option and would be useful for families who have more complex concerns about their child’s health.
We will cover everything listed in the base level consultation above, but in further detail, as well as examine how all the bodily systems are interlinked.

This consultation also includes a detailed report with a personalised plan for your child and a suggested pathway to achieve the health goal. Personalised food and meal recommendations, lifestyle suggestions, further functional testing referrals* (as required), a detailed supplement plan and supporting recipes, all fully tailored to your child’s needs, are all part of the report.

*Our Nutritionist may advise that your child be referred for ‘Functional Testing’ such as food intolerance tests, nutrigenomics, mineral deficiencies test, comprehensive stool analysis, hair mineral analysis and body measurements (BMI, skin fold) etc. to establish and investigate potential imbalances in the body. We can provide a referral for these tests (externally to The Children’s Wellness Centre) although there will be additional charges to the medical professional who carries theses out (although for some we can refer on the NHS). Once the tests have been carried out, our Nutritionist can then support families with interpreting the results of these and any follow-up actions.

Follow-up appointments (45 minutes) £70
We advise all families to have at least one follow-up appointment, 2-4 weeks after their first consultation. During this time we will review any changes in symptoms and make the appropriate adjustments as required. Follow-ups help provide an extra level of support and guidance and may also include the analysis of previously recommended functional test results. Amendments to any initial reports are included in this cost.

In some cases, one follow-up session may be all that is required, but at times, several follow-ups – especially if your child is having functional testing, may be needed. There is no obligation to book follow-up sessions, even if they are advised.

Pre and postnatal support consultations

Initial consultation (60-minutes) £95

During pregnancy we can aid mums-to-be with nutritional guidance to support them and their growing baby, as well as postnatal support after birth. This may include guidance towards first solid foods, weaning support (including Baby-Led Weaning), help with establishing good eating habits, nutritional guidance to support infant development (brain, lungs, bones) and nutritional advice for breastfeeding and new mums (managing energy levels, managing healthy weight loss, sleep deprivation, dietary supplementation, simple family recipes).

Personalised family meal plans

For individuals and parents who would like extra support with their daily diet or family meal preparation, we can create a 2-week or 4-week meal plan tailored around food preferences and any specific diet requirements and allergies.

2-week plan £70
4-week plan £130
